Strengthening resourceful communities through Comic Relief
The Community Foundation in Wales is pleased to be working with Comic Relief to support people living in disadvantaged communities with the Comic Relief Local Communities Fund.
Comic Relief highlighted that: “Poverty in the UK today is much more complex than simply being a measure of homelessness or unemployment; it can affect the old and young, families and single people, and many whole communities face deprivation. People living in disadvantaged communities face a range of issues such as poor employment opportunities and reduced levels of physical and mental health”
The Community Foundation in Wales, together with Comic Relief, are looking to strengthen already strong communities by equipping local organisations with the tools they need to respond to challenges and address local need, providing the people in their communities with access to the services they need.
More information about the Local Communities Fund can be found on our Grants Page.
