Flood Recovery Fund
Communities, Environment | Clwyd, Dyfed, Gwent, Gwynedd, Mid Glamorgan, Powys, South Glamorgan, West Glamorgan
In response to the extensive flooding across Wales this Winter, the Community Foundation in Wales has set up a Flood Recovery Fund to help strengthen communities as they recover from the hardship and challenges arising from recent floods, tidal surge and storm damage. Grants of between £500 to £5000 are available, with the possibility for grants of £10,000 to be awarded where there is an exceptional case made.
Who can apply:
Community groups, charities and projects which are supporting local people who have suffered from the affects of the storms and flooding across Wales.
Grants can support the full or partial costs of, for example:
• Community events and/or community spaces
• Repair and/or redecoration
• To replace essential items (e.g. cookers or fridges that may have been damaged)
The closing date for this programme is:
July 1st 2014 at 5pm.
