Business supports Flood Recovery Fund

The Community Foundation in Wales, along with other Community Foundations in affected areas of the UK, will benefit from a partnership with furniture retailer Wren Living which has 47 stores in Wales and across the UK. Ten per cent of sales made at Wren Living’s  stores between 9am on Saturday 22nd February and 6pm on Saturday 1st March will be given to Flood Relief Funds across the UK, including the Wales Flood Recovery Fund set up by the Community Foundation in Wales.

Wren Living financial director Mark Pullan said: “Wren Living is a family business. Over 1,800 people work for the company and we are all saddened by the problems facing those families who have been affected by the floods.

“We are conscious that as the television cameras leave, the devastation still remains and we are committed to playing our part in helping people through this crisis. Ours will be a significant donation towards the relief effort and we hope it makes a difference.”

Liza Kellett, Chief Executive of the Community Foundation in Wales added: “It is a privilege to facilitate such a strong example of corporate social responsibility.  The support from Wren Living will complement donations and in-kind support from the general public and other businesses and organisations; bringing donors and corporates closer to the communities they work in, live in or wish to support.  We’re delighted that through our Wales Flood Recovery Fund we have been able to channel philanthropic giving to strengthen Welsh communities in crisis.”

Visit Wren Living for more information on their support of the Flood Recover campaign.
