Philanthropy Week 2014 Essay Competition

The Community Foundation in Wales is running an essay competition in celebration of Philanthropy Week 2014. 

Philanthropy Week is a series of events and activities which promote, celebrate and inspire philanthropy across the country. The competition is designed to encourage students and young people to reflect on the role of philanthropy in their community.

Targeted at those between the ages of 16 and 21, who are currently living in Wales, applicants are invited to submit an essay of no more than 1,000 words entitled “How philanthropy has benefitted my community.” Thanks to the Fairwood Trust the winner of the Philanthropy Week 2014 essay competition will receive an award of £500.

Essays should be submitted, together with a completed entry form, to [email protected] by 5pm on Sunday 1st March, 2015. 

Please ensure that you mark your essay with your full name.

Essays should be submitted in Word format, with the total number of words clearly marked.
