Sport Relief Community Cash
Aims
Sport Relief’s Community Cash grants aim to support work where there is clear evidence of a sustained beneficial impact on people’s lives that are excluded or disadvantaged through low income, rural or social isolation, age, disabilities, race, sexuality or gender.
Who can apply?
Small local community groups undertaking work that helps people of all ages feel more included in their community, builds their skills and increases their sense of achievement. Groups must have an income of less that £50,000 (in the last year) and be run by local people working in a disadvantaged or deprived area within the local authority of Cardiff.
Grants available
Groups are invited to apply for grants ranging between £500 and £1000

What will it fund?
The fund will support projects that tackle the following issues:
Youth at risk
Crime prevention
Drugs and substance misuse
Community Safety
Who can apply?
Community groups, voluntary organisations and local charities in the local authority areas of Newport, Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, Monmouthshire and Caerphilly.
Grants available
Groups are invited to apply for grants ranging from £250 to £2500.

Comic Relief Standard Grant Scheme
A grant making programme managed by The Community Foundation in Wales Aims - Comic Relief supports work where there is clear evidence of beneficial impact on people and communities who are excluded or disadvantaged through low income, rural or social isolation, age, disabilities, race, sexuality or gender.What will it fund?
Half of the available funds are aimed at projects that increase access to sport and exercise for people who face social exclusion and isolation, or are experiencing difficulties in their lives. The remaining grants will be awarded to projects that increase local services, build skills of local people, increase community cohesion, respond to local economic needs.
Who can apply?
Community groups, residents associations, community centres, social enterprises/community interest companies, credit unions
Grants available
Applicants can apply for between £1000 and £10,000 to support revenue and/or capital projects.
