Fund for Wales

A campaign of the Community Foundation in Wales, the Fund for Wales inspires people who love Wales to give effectively to Wales.  The Fund makes grants to Welsh community organisations and projects, awarding grants across five themes: young people; community; health; culture; and environment.

Thanks to challenge funding from the Big Lottery Fund, the next £1 million of donations will be matched – doubling the value of your gift to Welsh charities and projects.  

 

If you’re passionate about Wales and want to help make a deep and lasting impact in our communities - make a difference today.  Whether you want to: make a one-off donation; give regularly to Wales; set up your own Named Fund or leave a gift in your will, the Fund for Wales is for you!  By giving to the endowment Fund for Wales you are joining a community of people who love Wales, support local voluntary action and understand the value of a gift that keeps on giving.

Giving options with the Fund for Wales

When giving to the Fund for Wales you decide which theme you wish to support, how regularly you’d like to give and how much you’d like to donate.

Everyone who gives becomes part of our Fund for Wales community:

  • For gifts of £1,000 or more you can ‘leave your mark on Wales’ by being featured on the Fund for Wales Hiraeth Map

  • For gifts over £10,000 you are invited to join the Patrons Circle, with benefits including project visits and personal invitations to special receptions

  • For those giving £25,000 or more the Foundation will establish your Named Fund, tailor made with our philanthropy advisor to best deliver your giving wishes

The Fund for Wales is a long term source of charitable funding to sustain vital work of community projects across Wales. A community of donors, at home and abroad, are giving to protect our country’s heritage, enhance our culture and environment, and improve lives all over Wales.
