Santander SEDA Social Enterprise Awards
The Santander Social Enterprise Development Awards (SEDA) is a community investment programme, to help support growing social enterprises. This programme will relaunch on Wednesday 3rd June 2013 and the awards are open to established social enterprises across Wales.
It takes businesses of all shapes and sizes to make a community work so the Development Awards have been split into segments to make sure a variety of social enterprises are supported, dependent on turnover.
1 x £50,000 prize to a social enterprise with a turnover of £250,000 - £1,000,000
8 x £20,000 prize to social enterprises with a turnover of £100,000 - £250,000
7 x £10,000 prize to social enterprises with a turnover of less than £100,000
The award has been created to help grow existing social enterprises meeting one of the following social outcomes: improving social and community inclusion, supporting disadvantaged people through skills, training and employment, or creating a greener environment.
Social Enterprises are businesses set up to address social or environmental needs whose profits are reinvested in the community or back into the business. A social enterprise will have a clear sense of its ‘social mission’ and know the difference it is trying to make.
Only those social enterprises which have at least 50% of their total income generated from trading activities are eligible to apply
In addition to the financial awards which are being made the winners of the larger awards will also have access to a variety of other opportunities such as; access to bespoke university training courses, the opportunity to have a three month intern working in the business to help implement growth plans, and access to mentoring and business advice. The Community Foundation will work with the winners to monitor and evaluate the value of the prize in order to measure the success of the business.

The Dulverton Trust Fund
The Community Foundation in Wales is administrating grants on behalf of The Dulverton Trust which operates within the following main areas of activity: Youth Opportunities, General Welfare, Conservation and Preservation.
Grants of £500 to £5000 will be awarded to small charities and organisations normally with an annual income of under £200,000. Please note: applications for grants at the higher end of the range will need to demonstrate an exceptional case for support in their application and detail project costs accordingly.

The Cardiff Community Endowment Fund has two purposes:
- to provide education grants for individuals in need e.g. course fees (where assistance is not otherwise available) and grants towards the costs of course materials and activities
- to provide grants to community groups and local charities which support people facing financial disadvantage e.g. through grant aid for goods, services and facilities

The Powys Community Endowment Fund

The Stuart Rendel Exhibitions are bursaries of £500 available to young people in Montgomeryshire who are intending to study at Aberystwyth University in the forthcoming academic year.

The Denbighshire Community Endowment Fund

The Monmouthshire Further Education Trust Fund
To provide financial support to individuals under the age of 25 who are pursuing further/higher education or training and who reside in the Gwent area (specifically the County of Monmouthshire as it existed in 1956), excluding Newport.
Grants from the Monmouthshire Further Education Trust Fund will fund:
- Costs associated with entering into further/higher education including equipment, materials, travel and course/exam fees
- Costs associated with preparing to enter a trade or profession including equipment, materials and training

The Rudbaxton Parish Education Fund
To advance the education of children and young people under the age of 25 who live in the Parish of Rudbaxton, Pembrokeshire. The Fund will support young indivdiauls who reside in the Parish of Rudbaxton or community/voluntary groups and local charities either based in Rudbaxton or whose work directly benefits individuals under the age of 25 living in Rudbaxton.

The Martyn Groves Adventure & Travel Fund

This is a community benefit scheme funded by Ffynnon Oer Windfarm Ltd, which is operated by RWE npower renewables, and is for the benefit of residents of Resolven, Clyne and Melincourt, in the Vale of Neath.
Grants of up to £5000 are available to support local community and voluntary groups engaged in environmental, educational, and other community projects.

The Gwent High Sheriffs' Community Fund
The Gwent High Sheriffs’ Community Fund aims to provide a safer and better quality of life for the people of Gwent by supporting community-based initiatives and projects that reduce crime and improve community safety.
There is a particular emphasis on projects which aim to mentor and support young people across Gwent, however, the Fund will also consider initiatives which address broader community safety issues.
Applicants considered eligible for funding will be invited to attend a participatory grant-making event in early Spring 2013. The event is being run in partnership with Gwent Police and additional funding is being made available from the Police Property Fund.

Comic Relief Local Communities Grant Programme
CR spends money raised by its fundraising campaigns, Red Nose Day & Sport Relief
Comic Relief, registered charity 326568 (England and Wales), SC039730 (Scotland).
Comic Relief supports work where there is clear evidence of beneficial impact on people and communities who are excluded or disadvantaged through low income, rural or social isolation, age, disabilities, race, sexuality or gender.
Half of the available funds are aimed at projects that increase access to sport and exercise for people who face social exclusion and isolation, or are experiencing difficulties in their lives. The remaining grants will be awarded to innovative projects that increase local services, build skills of local people, increase community cohesion, respond to local economic needs.
Applicants can apply for between £1000 and £10,000 to support revenue and/or capital projects. Please see the criteria below for further information.
