RICHARD WILLIAMS - CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Richard joined the Foundation in September 2017, having been Wales Director for the national charity Action on Hearing Loss Cymru (Royal National Institute for Deaf People). Prior to that Richard worked in the regional newspaper industry as a journalist and newspaper editor. He was editor of the South Wales Echo and Wrexham Evening Leader, and deputy editor of the Daily Post, and also worked on Wales on Sunday and the Liverpool Echo.
Richard is a Welsh speaker and away from work, is passionate about Welsh football, Wrexham Football Club and music.
Richard also currently holds board positions with Wales Council for Voluntary Action and Hafan Cymru.
Richard’s special interests include: working with people to shape solutions to community needs; equality and fairness; engagement and partnership working.
