The Garfield Weston Foundation

‘The Garfield Weston Foundation’ is one of the largest charitable foundations in the world. The Foundation have given over £50 million towards charitable activity within the UK in the past year.

Over 1,500 charities across the country benefit from The Garfield Weston Foundation each year, ranging from small, community-driven projects to large national organisations.

The Ashley Family Foundation

The Ashley Family Foundation (formerly The Laura Ashley Foundation) is an independent family Trust Fund set up in 1986. The Foundation follows the ethos of the Ashley family and aims to support areas in which the family have a connection such as helping the communities of Mid Wales that supported the growth of the Laura Ashley business.

The Henry Smith Charity

The Henry Smith Charity is a large grant making charity that awards grants totalling approximately £25 million each year; funding up to 1,000 organisations and charities throughout the UK for initiatives and projects that address social inequality and economic disadvantage.

Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA)

WCVA is the voice of the voluntary sector in Wales, providing information on the organisation itself, its policies, volunteering opportunities, training, grants and news.

County Voluntary Councils and Volunteer Centres

County voluntary councils (CVCs) and volunteer centres (VCs) are a network of support organisations across Wales that help people who are inspired to make a positive difference to their communities. They work with charities, voluntary and community groups, social enterprises, trustees and individual volunteers. WCVA works at a national level, while CVCs/VCs work at a local level.
