What is Sefydliad?
Sefydliad is the only All-Wales organisation of its kind. We
support a wide range of voluntary organisations and community
groups concerned with improving quality of life for those experiencing
disadvantage. We support projects in the valleys, towns and
rural areas – all over Wales.
All the projects we support have a common theme – they
are well run and are addressing clearly identified needs. Sefydliad
does not help the big well known national charities, it is a
charity for Wales helping small local charities that others
often do not reach. We have already channelled more than £1
million and have helped almost 500 charities throughout Wales.
We recognise that there is an increasing need to underpin community
regeneration by supporting small and local organisations.
Sefydliad is the one-stop solution for those who want their
giving to be for the lasting benefit of the communities of Wales.
Gifts of cash, trusts, bequests, shares or property all help
create a permanent endowment fund, whose earnings meet local
needs while respecting donors’ wishes.
Sefydliad gives donors a flexible and effective way of controlling
their charitable giving. Many donors welcome the opportunity
to devolve responsibility for the distribution of the their
funds to Sefydliad, others prefer to specify their area of interest
or even specific projects. Some donors do not want to receive
any publicity, others, especially corporate donors work with
Sefydliad to obtain publicity from their giving that is consistent
with the company objectives. In all cases the burden and expense
of administering charitable funds is removed from the donor.

Beth yw Sefydliad?
Sefydliad yw’r unig fudiad o’i fath drwy Cymru gyfan.
Yr ydym yn cefnogi ystod eang o fudiadau gwirfoddol a grwpiau
cymunedol sy’n ymwneud â gwella ansawdd bywyd i’r
sawl sy’n profi anfanteision. Yr ydym yn cefnogi prosiectau
yn y cymoedd, yn y trefi ac mewn ardaloedd gwledig – ym
mhobman yng Nghymru.
Y mae gan yr holl brosiectau y gwnaethom eu cefnogi thema gyffredin
– y maent yn cael eu gweithredu yn dda ac y maent yn mynd
i’r afael ag anghenion a ganfuwyd yn bendant. Nid yw Sefydliad
yn cynorthwyo’r elusennau cenedlaethol mawrion enwog, y
mae’n elusen ar gyfer Cymru sy’n cynorthwyo eluennau
lleol bychain nad yw eraill yn aml yn eu cyrraedd. Yr ydym eisoes
wedi sianelu mwy nag £1 miliwn ac yr ydym wedi cynorthwyo
ymron i 500 o elusennau ledled Cymru. Yr ydym yn cydnabod bod
yna angen cynyddol i danategu adfywiad cymunedol drwy gefnogi
mudiadau bychain a lleol.
Sefydliad yw’r ateb siop-ar-gyfer-popeth ar gyfer y sawl
sy’n dymuno i’w roddion ef/hi fod er lles parhaol
cymunedau Cymru. Y mae rhoddion o arian, ymddiriedolaethau,
becweddau, cyfranddaliadau neu eiddo oll yn cynorthwyo i greu
cronfa waddol barhaol, y mae ei henillion yn diwallu anghenion
lleol tra ei bod yn parchu dymuniadau’r rhoddwyr.
Fe rydd Sefydliad ffordd hyblyg ac effeithiol i roddwyr o reoli
eu rhoddion elusennol. Y mae llawer o roddwyr yn croesawu’r
cyfle i ddatganoli cyfrifoldeb am ddosbarthu eu cronfeydd i
Sefydliad, tra bod yn amgenach gan eraill enwi eu maes diddordeb
neu hyd yn oed brosiectau penodol. Nid yw rhai rhoddwyr yn dymuno
derbyn unrhyw gyhoeddusrwydd, tra bod eraill, yn enwedig rhoddwyr
corfforaethol, yn gweithio gyda Sefydliad i gael cyhoeddusrwydd
o’u rhoddion sy’n gyson ag amcanion y cwmni. Ym mhob
achos, fe dynnir y baich a’r treuliau o weinyddu cyllid
elusennol oddi ar y rhoddwr.
